Part-Time Nurse, Travel Medicine & Immunization Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL Area 

Passport Health, the leader in preventive medicine and the largest network of travel medicine clinics in the nation is currently accepting applications for the position of Travel Medicine & Immunization Nurse for the Tampa/St. Peterburg, FL metro area.

Job Description

The nurse will be  working primarily out of the St. Peterburg, FL office and as needed for other locations. She will be responsible for seeing patients directly and provide travel counseling, vaccination, medications and general travel health advice to Passport Health Clients.

The nurse will work closely with the corporate executive clinical team and the director of business development. Specific sales goals will be developed with a strong emphasis on relationship-building and strategic positioning, particularly as it relates to revenue growth for the Tampa Bay Area.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize proper travel medicine processes to provide immunizations and travel health counseling in a safe and effective manner.
   
• Adhere to protocols promoting safety, infection control and universal precautions.
   
• Provide friendly, efficient and safe service to the participants and the client.
   
• Develop strong relationship with local physician practices, health departments, local hospitals and corporations as referral sources to improve
  
   

Qualifications/Requirements for this position:

• Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant with current license in good standing in the state Florida 
   
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations including anaphylactic reactions.
   
• Superior interpersonal skills
   
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
   
• Demonstrated professionalism and excellence in nursing practice.
   
• Appropriate mix of proven business development expertise, energy, and initiative
   
• Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis
   
• Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, self-directed environment
   
• Ability to complete assigned tasks without detailed supervision, including working independently to create a call list and pursuing any and all opportunities consistent with the strategic plan
   
• Thorough command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and internet applications
   
• Excellent time management skills
   
• Track record of verifiable sales success
   
• B.S.N preferred, but not required
   

Additional Information:

Flexible Schedule and no weekends. Position begins as part time 2 or three days a week.
