Flu Immunizations for Businesses

Flu Immunizations for Business, On-Site ClinicsCorporations lose millions each year because their employees become ill. Absence due to sickness causes lost time and slowed productivity. Most importantly, ill employees suffer pain, discomfort, even lost wages--sometimes needlessly.

Influenza, one of the most common seasonal illnesses, is easily prevented with a vaccination. The vaccine is very effective, but needs to be repeated annually. Make it a policy to have your employees vaccinated every year. The benefits to your employees and your company can be measured in performance.

Our specially trained nurses will come to you, so there's no need to send employees to inconvenient hospitals or clinics. And our superior standard of service ensures that your personnel will be well-cared for. Call Passport Health for your corporate flu immunizations today, before the season starts.

Passport Health has confirmed our order of Flu Vaccine for the 2007-2008 Season. We are currently scheduling clients who want to pre-book at this time. We were able to supply all of our clients with flu vaccine last year and don't anticipate difficulty for this coming season.

The importance of Flu Vaccination
Every year in the United States there are more than 200,000 hospitalized from flu complications and more than 36,000 deaths. This acute, highly contagious respiratory disease can cause fever, cough, chills, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, etc. Most health children and adults can infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms begin and up to 5 days after becoming sick. That means you can pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.

The single best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu vaccination each and every year. About two weeks after vaccination, antibodies develop that protect against the virus. Flu vaccines will not protect against flu like illnesses caused by non-influenza viruses. It is also important to note that you can not get the flu by being vaccinated.

To stay abreast of the latest flu information from the Centers for Disease Control or the World Health Organization, or to learn any manufacturing issues that may delay delivery or cause a vaccine shortage, check back to this section often.  This includes any new developments with the Avian flu or any pandemic issues that may arise.
